We still have a spot available for one or two of your deserving sophomores! If you would like to learn more about HOBY or need help registering a student, please contact Aaron Vince or check out our website: www.mihoby.org.

If a lack of funds for the registration fee is keeping you from registering a student, try contacting your local Optimist International club - they're a national HOBY partner. If that fails, we may be able to help -- just let our Seminar Chairperson Tura Foster know you need some assistance: (tura.foster@gmail.com).

Introducing some of our volunteer staff...

Aislinn Frantz
HOBY Position: Leadership for Service Project Coordinator
Ambassador Year: 2006
Years with HOBY: 4
Why do you volunteer with HOBY?: I come back to HOBY every year because so many of my best friends are at HOBY and they push me to be the best version of myself. I also love to see the Ambassadors grow throughout the seminar and follow their accomplishments after the seminar is over. HOBY has given me a great extended family. It has also given me many learning opportunities through the seminar, as well as networking possibilities. HOBY has been a great point of interest on my resumé and has helped me secure several good jobs and greatly aided my University of Michigan application.

Brett Stacer
HOBY Position: Enthusiasm Team Member
Ambassador Year: 2006
Years with HOBY: 4
Why do you volunteer with HOBY?: I volunteer because I love helping people. I am a very caring person and feel accomplished after I complete a service project and see the enjoyment other people receive from my efforts. HOBY has given me many opportunities, all of which I am very grateful for. I have received many scholarships and job opportunities because of the program, along with a lot of recognition. Most importantly, though, are the life long friendships I have made. HOBY has become a second family for me, and I know that it will always be a part of my life, as I am a part of yours in this HOBY family!
