Michigan HOBY is a volunteer-run organization and our annual Leadership Seminar would not be possible without generous donations from individuals, corporations, and Cooperating Organizations. These contributions make it possible for our Seminar to happen. The total weekend seminar cost is about $175 per person for room & board, HOBY T-shirt, and all seminar materials and facility use fees. You may choose to sponsor a HOBY Ambassador (a high school sophomore) from your community or put your donation towards general sponsorship. Michigan HOBY is a 501(c)(3) organization and tax receipts will be issued for donations. All sponsors will be appropriately acknowledged at the HOBY Seminar.
Our Sponsor-A-Plate form provides a tangible way for you to support our efforts in developing the leadership of Michigan's youth. You may sponsor a single meal for a student (~$10, the entire weekend Seminar for one student (~$175), or any amount in between. Of course, we allow sponsorships of multiple meals and/or students. Please contact our Board President if you or your company would like to sponsor an entire meal, a day's meals, or housing costs. A typical Seminar has 150-175 students and 40-50 volunteer staff members.
